Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) – Rochester Regional Health System

Location: Rochester, NY Shift: Night (3x12-Hour, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) Start Date: May 27, 2025 Duration: 13 weeks Positions Available: 1

About The Role

Rochester Regional Health System is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse – PCU to join its Surgical Stepdown Unit. This position involves caring for intermediate care and neuro/neurosurgical patients, as well as trauma and vascular surgery patients requiring higher-level monitoring between unit-level and ICU care.

Responsibilities

Provide specialized nursing care to post-surgical, trauma, vascular surgery, and respiratory patients
Manage 24-bed intermediate care and unit-based patient population
Support ventilator and high respiratory need patients
Administer treatments and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient recovery

Minimum Qualifications

Experience: Minimum 2 years in acute care nursing required Licensure: New York RN license (must be in hand at submission) Certification: BLS, ACLS preferred Technology Experience: Epic charting system

Additional Information

Scheduling: 36 or 48 hours per week
Orientation: All hours billable
Scrubs: Any combination of navy and white
Local Consideration: No locals within 75 miles
