Position Description

A health services network in Western New York is currently seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join one of their inpatient mental health facilities in Rochester. In this role, the Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for providing general nursing care in a behavioral health setting.

About the Opportunity:

  • Assignment Length: 3+ months
  • Schedule: 5 shifts per week and rotating weekends
  • Hours: 3pm to 11:30pm
  • Setting: Inpatient Mental Health

Responsibilities:

  • Medication administration and transcription of orders
  • Documentation of patient care, issues, admissions, assessments, screenings, progress notes, medications
  • Oversight of patient care and patient care assignments
  • Updating all treatment plans and making sure follow up interventions are taking place
  • Completing the annual assessments on patients on their assigned units
  • Managing and directing medical and psychiatric emergencies
  • Performing other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of Clinical Nursing experience in a Mental Health and/or Psychiatric setting
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Active NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • BLS certification

Desired Skills:

  • 2+ years of Psychiatric / Mental Health experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
